The nature and content of children's book language: implications for language and literacy development
Hosted by the Eastern Melbourne Branch, in this webinar we have the opportunity to view Professor Kate Nation’s presentation from this year’s NAPLIC conference. Kate’s presentation focuses on book language and highlights the difference between spoken conversation language and the language found in children's books. It unpacks research findings relating to exposure to book language and how this drives language and literacy development.
After the presentation, Kate will be live online to answer any questions relating to book language and her research.
