Many will remember that TFE started as the Melbourne Language and Literacy Community of Practice (MeLLCoP). Well we are back! Join us for this welcome back event, open to all Melbourne-based TFE members (including original MeLLCoPers!)

Meet the team
Beth Shingles
BA DipEd MEd
Beth is a researcher and project manager working at the education and health interface. With a career background in international child development, Beth shifted to primary school teaching and research in 2011 and completed a Master’s of Education (research) with High Distinction from The University of Melbourne in 2019. Beth has a strong desire to promote solutions that eliminate developmental and educational inequities for Australia's children.
Beth has managed several large-scale school-based trials at the University of Melbourne and the Centre for Community Child Health.

Beth is committed to closing the evidence-to-practice gap so that all children, irrespective of their background, receive high-quality evidence-based oral language and literacy education and early intervention.
Martin Suhas Ravindran
MTeach (Primary, Early Childhood)
Year 4 Classroom Teacher at St Leo the Great Primary School. Martin studied Business Management and Psychology as an undergraduate but discovered his love for teaching during his stint as a children's gymnastics teacher. He hopes to learn more about effective instruction and how to best promote educational change in the workplace.
