Background

Peace! The Reading wars are over. Educational policy and practice has begun to reflect a focus on teaching the five components of reading. Although the five components are being included in literacy programs, the chance of novices being taught to read without explicit instruction continues to remain low.

Join Troy as he shares his experiences in implementing high quality reading instruction, discussing an evidence-based approach to explicit instruction and its importance for teaching students to read.
